Over 33,000 visitors so far at first edition Decathlon Premier Padel Rotterdam

Rotterdam, Sept. 13, 2024 - More than 33,000 tickets have already been sold for the first edition of Decathlon Premier Padel Rotterdam. This puts the international Padel sport event, which started with the qualifications on Sunday September 8 and will reach the semi-finals and finals next weekend, in the Top 5 of indoor sport events in the Netherlands, after the ABN AMRO Open, CHIO Rotterdam, Indoor Brabant Den Bosch and the Six-Day event also in Rotterdam Ahoy.

The Top 50 of the world have descended on Rotterdam Ahoy for Decathlon Premier Padel Rotterdam. The opening night already had a sold out house with 1600 visitors. For the first four days the tournament was played on four courts in Hall 6 of Ahoy. As of Thursday, September 12, the center court in the Ahoy arena was added. This has increased the capacity to 6000 visitors per session. Next weekend the semi-finals and finals for both men and women are still on the schedule. Tickets are still available for these sessions.

Legends game
Prior to the finals, Arjen Robben, Niels Kokmeijer, Diego Forlán and Rafael van der Vaart will enter the center court. The quartet of former professional soccer players will compete against each other in a so-called legends game from 2 p.m. onwards. Following that, the women's final will begin at 3 p.m. The men's final will start immediately after the women's final.
