Premier Padel P1 tournament coming to the Netherlands

Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, December 19, 2023 - Premier Padel is coming to the Netherlands with the highly anticipated P1 tournament taking place from September 9 to 15, 2024 in Rotterdam Ahoy. This tournament promises to be an unforgettable experience for spectators and professional players alike. With the top 48 ladies and men from around the world competing for the coveted title, Premier Padel guarantees a world of top-level sport.

What makes this tournament unique is its unparalleled quality in every aspect. From the impressive playing field to the organization, every detail has been put together with care and precision. The passion and energy felt on the field take visitors to a level of sports experience never before experienced. Whether you want to enjoy top sport (Inspirate), play yourself with friends or treat your company to special sporting moments (Participate) or celebrate important sporting moments (Celebrate); Premier Padel Rotterdam offers something unique compared to all other P1 tournaments.

Bram Meijer (Professional Padel Player), said: "It's cool to see the popularity of padel growing worldwide, and now also in the Netherlands taking a big step forward with a P1 tournament at this great venue, Rotterdam Ahoy. It's great to be involved in this project from the beginning."

Earlier today, Premier Padel announced the annual calendar for 2024. The Premier Padel tour consists of four Major tournaments, similar to the Grand Slam events in tennis. In addition, there are tournaments in two other categories, P1 and P2, and the Finals as the season finale. Not all tournaments have a place on the Premier Padel calendar. The tournament in Rotterdam is an absolute highlight because of the grandeur of the event and all the top players in the world who will be present.

Premier Padel and WPT merged into one worldwide professional padel tour early this year, under the auspices of the International Padel Federation (FIP). The event in Rotterdam marks an important step forward in the professionalization of the sport. With the successful last WPT tournament in 2023, which took place at AFAS LIVE in Amsterdam, it has become clear that there is tremendous enthusiasm for the sport. Padel is currently the fastest growing grassroots sport and offers plenty of opportunities for fans, the curious and padel players alike.

The organization of the Premier Padel P1 tournament in Rotterdam is in the hands of Tribe Company, a well-known name in organizing major (sports) events and known, among other things, for De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE, The Streamers, Camping van Oranje and all fan activations around Orange matches.

Marc Nipius (Tribe Company), said: "Tribe Company welcomes the opportunity to host a top-level international Padel tournament in the best venue imaginable. For Tribe Company everything comes together in this Padel tournament: organizing a high quality sporting event, connecting people and providing top entertainment that fits our company. In this way, we expand our profile within the sports domain and strive to use our production power to create an innovative and impactful event."
